White-plumed Honeyeater

Common to moderately common

Well adapted to living in an urban environment. Usually lives in colonies. Fearless and aggressive, mobbing much larger birds. Energetically forages at all levels in the outer foliage, mostly in eucalypts for nectar, insects, lerp, honeydew, manna. Musical 'chick-w-wee' and repeated 'chip'.

Found in tall eucalypt woodlands, parks and gardens. Inlands areas near water and River Red Gums.
