Pairs or groups of 10-20 birds, usually in the higher canopy. Leaf gleaning especially for psyllids and tiny sap-sucking lerp. Also feeds on manna and other insects. Persistent soft calls, bell-like 'sleep-may-bee'.

Found in wet and dry sclerophyll forests, mallee, parks, gardens.
