Males (glossy blue-black) are solitary. Females and immatures (olive-green with brown scalloping) are often found in groups. Feeds mostly on fruit. Insects and leaves taken in breeding season. 

Found in rainforests, wet eucalypt forests and adjacent woodlands. Parks, gardens.
