Inquisitive and relatively tame. Usually in pairs or small family groups. Flits from perch to perch. Often clings to the side of a tree trunk. Flicks tail and wings. 

Found in coastal mountain forests, woodlands with undergrowth, banksia heaths, rainforests, mallee, mulga, parks and gardens.
