Brown Treecreeper
Common
Common
Largest Australian treecreeper. Unlike other treecreepers, the Brown Treecreeper spends most of its time foraging on the ground for insects and infrequently spirals up tree trunks. Usually communal in small groups of up to 5.
Found in open, dry eucalypt forests, woodlands with open ground and fallen timber, mallee and stands of River Red Gum.
